This time, Anime Tokyo Station will hold the movie “CHAO” exhibition from June 6th (Sat) to July 31st (Fri), 2026.
The movie “Chao” released last year is an original animation movie based on Andersen’s fairy tale “The Little Mermaid”. The main character, a young man Stefan, meets Chao, the princess of the mermaid kingdom. Studio4℃, which produces many theatrical works such as “Tetsukonkinkreet” and “Nikuko-chan of the Fishing Port,” is involved in this film. It was selected as the Jury Prize, and was the first Japanese film to win an award in eight years. In addition, it has been selected for the “Animation Film Awards” at the 35th Japanese Film Critic Award, and has been nominated for several times at overseas animations and film festivals.

In this exhibition, we will exhibit the outline of the work, which describes the award records of the work, the raw original drawings of the important scenes of the movie, as well as the storyboards, scripts, and setting materials. You can enjoy the charm of this work through a number of materials that allow you to see the technology in Japanese animation production.
In addition, we will distribute a movie pamphlet of official goods as an entrance privilege (it will end as soon as it runs out). You can learn more about the world view of the work by looking at it while comparing it with the pamphlet.
