Tokyo and Anime Tokyo Station, which is operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Japan Video Association, is “Anime more interesting, ANIM With the motto “E to the future for the future”, many people from Japan and abroad have visited the facility as a facility that conveys the charm of Japanese animation to the world.
On March 6th (Friday), we held a “Fan Meeting Surrounding Mr. Go Nagai” as a public recording event for the anime Tokyo Station’s official YouTube channel. This event was planned to liven up the “Tokyo Anime Awards Festival” which will be held in Ikebukuro from Friday, March 13, following the cancellation of the “Angreme International Manga Festival” held in France. With the idea of “delivering the energy of anime and manga to the world,” we invited Mr. Go Nagai, who created numerous masterpieces such as “Mazinger Z” and “Devilman,” to hold a fan meeting.

At the event, Tomoko Hashiya acted as the moderator, and as a guest, anime critics Ryota Fujitsu, writers Mr. Geiggan Yamazaki, and Mr. Go Nagai appeared on behalf of Mr. Nagai’s fans.
In the talk corner, the theme was set up, and it was held in three features: “The relationship between manga and anime,” “It’s very popular in the Middle East,” and “Fans’ questions.” Mr. Fujitsu and Mr. Yamazaki asked core questions while interacting with the fans, looking at Mr. Nagai, who has produced many animation works. In the question corner from a fan, Mr. Nagai was asked, “If it’s not an animation, which one would you like to see in the anime?” ” replied positively. Continuing on, when asked, “What kind of things do you think about when creating characters, the characters drawn by the teacher are both male and female?” I don’t want to draw a la, etc.. If you create a positive character, it will move on its own, and it will be easier for you to move the story.” However, Fujitsu and others, as well as fans who gathered at the venue, listened intently to the episodes that could only be heard at this opportunity.
The talk corner ended in a blink of an eye, and Mr. Fujitsu said, “I was able to ask you about various things from the teacher, and I learned a lot about it until I became a writer. It was fun to think about whether there was one.” Mr. Yamazaki said, “I was born in 1985, so the moment a super famous title was born. Although I couldn’t attend, but I was able to become a fan easily because Go-sensei was always on the front line as an active teacher. As an active artist, I am happy that many of the teachers are drawing (the works).”
Then, voice actor Mina Tominaga, who played the role of Mephisto Dance in the 1992 anime “Hanahei Bazooka”, appeared as a surprise! “Today, I heard that the teacher was surrounded by fans, so I rushed over! I was able to meet him at events, etc., but it’s been a long time.” When Mr. Nagai presented a bouquet of flowers, the teacher was surprised at the surprise.
