(Head office: Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture, Chairman and Representative Director and President: Iwase Daisuke) at the planetarium “Benesse Star Dome” on the 21st floor of the Tama office (Tama City, Tokyo) in Tokyo headquarters Uchuongakukai” will be screened from July 19, 2025. “Shimajiro” has been popular with many children for more than 30 years as the main character of “Children’s Challenge”, a brand of children’s education and growth support developed by Benesse Corporation. In addition, this work will be screened at planetariums nationwide in the future.

This new work “Shimajiro Uchiongakukai” is a work that makes the most of the realistic images and sound unique to the Benesse Stardome, which has evolved in the renewal. The Benesse Stardome has been renewed as a planetarium with the highest brightness in Japan, with the introduction of two latest equipment: an optical planetarium that uses ultra-bright LEDs and a high-brightness 4K projector. With the latest images and sound, you can experience the immersion as if you were in outer space.
●Resolution 4K, Voice 6ch power: The resolution has been greatly improved from 2K before the renewal to 4K, and the audio is upgraded from 2ch to 6ch. The images and sounds that spread to the 360-degree full dome, and the images of the starry sky and planets that have become even more beautiful, will stimulate your child’s curiosity.
●Original songs with the theme of a music concert: In the play, planet fairies will hold a concert. In addition to the original songs written for this work, “Jupiter” (from Horst’s suite “Planet”), which is widely popular, and the children’s challenge and TV program “Shimajiro no Wao! You can enjoy the orchestral version of the popular song “The World Paradise” with a sense of presence.
●Perfect for a planetarium debut: This is a participatory program that is perfect for children to experience the planetarium for the first time. You can enjoy using your five senses, such as singing along with Shimajiro, cheering, and teaching Shimajiro and others in the direction they fly.

As Shimajiro and others were gazing at the planet with a telescope, I suddenly heard beautiful music from Jupiter. Strangely enough, Shimajiro and his friends decide to go to Jupiter on a spaceship. Jupito, the fairy of Jupiter, was there. Jupito is a member of the planet orchestra playing music on the planets of the solar system. But I don’t feel confident about my performance… So, Shimajiro and the others decide to help with practice. The method is to sing together! It’s the beginning of a concert that connects the universe with music!
