The 5 works of the popular picture book “Nanden Yanen” from the World Culture Wonder Group (published/release: Sekai Bunkasha) will be made into anime and will be exclusively distributed on Netflix from December 1st. The “Nanden Yanen” series is produced by “Light Anime (R)” by Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP). It is an animation of about 3 to 5 minutes per work.

What is “Light Anime(R)”?

A new animation method developed by DNP that enables low-cost, timely production. By using original drawings such as manga without creating new drawings, it greatly reduces the time and cost of production compared to conventional animation production. The service started in August 2022 and is being used by companies with content such as publishers and characters with originals such as manga and picture books. This project is a general term for this project from the desire to provide animation at a low cost and timely manner in response to the needs of consumers who want to enjoy a variety of animation works more easily and quickly.
