Chocolate Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yusuke Watanabe) has produced two original short animations, “Baby of the Pan” (directed by Haruka Ichikawa), which was planned and produced by our company. We will announce that it will be released on YouTube and official X in December 2002, and the teaser video of this work will be released on November 1st.
Set in a small bakery in the city, this work depicts the “babys” of bread dough = bread confronting thieves, featuring unique characters such as cream bread, French bread, donuts, and croissants. Kana Hanazawa, a voice actor known as an unparalleled bread lover, has been selected as the role of cream bread. In addition, ahead of the release of the main part of the work, we will be distributing “Baby Baby” original stickers at “Setagaya Bread Festival 2024”, one of Japan’s largest bread festivals, which will be held at Setagaya Park in Tokyo from November 2nd to 3rd.

About the short animation “Baby of Pan”

“Baby of the Pan” is an original short animation work depicting the adventures of “babys” of bread, including cream bread. Voice actor Kana Hanazawa will play the role of “Cream Pan Baby 1”, the main character of this work.
The director will be Haruka Ichikawa, who will be directing this film for the first time.

■ Synopsis
This is a small bakery in the city.
One night, the owner, Riku, kneads the bread, puts the dough to sleep, finishes work, and leaves.
Gacha-gacha… Suddenly, a disturbing sound echoes in the store. It was the sound of a thief sneaking in and picking the cash register.
The cream bread dough that was sleeping in the refrigerator. I woke up involuntarily at the sound and said, “Wow!”
I start crying.
That voice was found by a thief…a close call! ?
Will the “baby of bread” be able to survive this crisis…?

I like bread. From the delusion that “I wish I had a story like this” where bread was the main character, I drew various pictures, such as “with a character like this” and “a place like this”, and connected it to the video. Then, a tattered digital picture-story show was completed. It was embarrassing to show it, but it started when I was unexpectedly told, “It’s good.” I am truly grateful to everyone who gave me courage at the beginning, everyone who gave me the opportunity, and everyone who strived to do the production (still acclaimed). I would be happy if you could think that the babies in the bread are delicious and cute.
