Produced by Nippon Animation Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President: Kazuko Ishikawa) and 2000 since 1999 “Collector Yui”, which was broadcast on NHK Educational Television over the years, celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024. Commemorating the 25th anniversary of the broadcast, a commemorative visual drawn by Kia Asamiya, the original plan, has been completed! Together with the comments of Kia Asamiya and character designer Fumie Muroi, it will be released today.

The work began with a single piece of A4 pera with just two producers and a producer.
A girl who is active in various ways in the cyber world with the motif of Hakkenden.
When I was a child, I loved the “Shin Hachikenden” that was broadcast on NHK, and I had a lot of magical girl stuff as staff, so the work was fun.
After breaking through some planning meetings, we finally see the light of day.
And here is “Collector Yui” that you all know. Now is the time to visit Comnet!

Collector Yui is still a cel animation from the analog era, so the lines that come out are gibberish.
I’ve never heard of computer terms that are now commonplace.
Even though it’s a rather old-fashioned transformation magical girl style anime, I think it’s an anime that you can still enjoy, young and old, men and women.
Looking back at the telop, I think there are a lot of people who have become amazing now.

Delivery overview

“Collector Yui” is a work depicting the days when Yui Kasuga, a second-year junior high school student who is not good at computers, fulfills his duties as “Collector Yui” on a computer network called “Komnet”. A total of 26 episodes were broadcast for both the 1st series broadcast in 1999 and the 2nd series broadcast in 2000. ■ Synopsis
20XX AD. The world was connected to one by a computer network called “comnet” and everything was possible in a virtual space. Although this comnet was managed by a huge host computer called “Glosser”, one day Glosser began to have the ambition to control the world by managing the real world. Comnet’s developer, Dr. Inukai completes the control program “Collector” to stop Glosser, but is immediately attacked by Glosser. The doctor disassembled the collector into eight software and released it into Comnett.
Yui Kasuga, a second-year junior high school student who is not good at computers, suddenly encounters one of the software “IR”. Yui, who has been entrusted with a mission by IR, will set out on a journey to collect 8 software scattered in the virtual space as “Collector Yui”.

◇”Collector Yui” Digital Remastered 2nd Series

■ Synopsis
The ambitions of the host computer “Glosser” have been prevented by the activities of collectors Yui and the collectors. Yui asks Dr. Inukai to make an improved com-con that can be transformed by himself, but someone stos it.
Komnet has returned to peace, but this time an unidentified virus called “Buggles” appears in various places in Comnett, causing a big commotion. A new collector named “Ai” appears before Yui and the others struggle with their first enemy. Yui and the others are chasing the Bagagurus, and they realize that it occurs when a “lost girl” is spotted on the Internet. Why does the Buggles occur, and what is the purpose of the collector Ai, who is chasing the Buggles like Yui and the others? Yui suspects that Ai Shinozaki, who has moved next door, is Ai.
