Anime Japan has announced the event of “AnimeJapan 2026”, one of the world’s largest anime events held at Tokyo Big Sight. In addition, we started recruiting exhibitors from Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

This year marks the 13th time since its first event in 2014. In addition to the east exhibition building, the event will be held with the largest number of events held in the past, set in the south exhibition building and the rooftop exhibition area, aiming for further excitement.

Public days where you can enjoy exhibiting booths and stages for general visitors are March 28th (Sat) and 29th (Sun), and business days for business negotiations and business days are March 30th (Mon) and 3. On the 1st (Tuesday), the 2026 Family Anime Festa 2026, where exhibitions and stages about anime for families and kids will be held, will be held on March 28th (Sat) and 29th (Sun).

AnimeJapan has created the “New Creator Grand Prize”!

Anime Japan is a foundation for strengthening cultural and artistic activities, which was established by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Arts and Culture, which was funded by the Agency for Cultural Affairs. We will create the “New Creator Award” as a consignment project for “Creators Support Project (Building Program/Practice)”. The New Creator Award is a short animation competition for students enrolled in a domestic educational institution.

Winning works including the Grand Prix will be delivered to anime fans around the world through domestic and international distribution platforms.

The creation of this award encourages the schools that train animators to introduce a more practical curriculum, and also aims to motivate students to create animations.

It is a competition that serves as a gateway to profession that attracts the attention of industry insiders. Details will be announced at a later date.

“AnimeJapan 2025” Event Results

About 150,000 people attended the “AnimeJapan 2025”, including business days, and it was a four-day event that showed the momentum of the animation. In addition, 1 in 10 visitors came from overseas, making it the world’s largest animation event.

A total of 52 stage events were held at the venue at 4 AJ stages, including booths of 116 exhibitors, the largest ever, and the newly established WHITE stage. In addition, the popular policy is Cosplayers World, Family Anime Festa, AnimeJapan The stage was held by Sakurazaka46, who was appointed as the 2025 ambassador, and it was an event that embodied “all of the anime is here.”
