From March 30th, 2026, “Konko Irukaru Kana” will be broadcast as a new animation on NHK E-TV “Okaasan to Issho”.
いやだいやだの“やだもん”、こわがりやの“ぶるる”、いたずらっこの“たずら”、くいしんぼうの 40 years after 40 years of time, new animations such as “Mogumogu” are back as new animations.
“Is this the kind of thing?” is a short animation broadcasted on “Okaasan to Issho” from 1986, and has become popular with many children in a humorous depiction of the daily life of the 12 characters full of individuality. The related picture book series became a huge hit with over 10 million copies, and the children who were familiar with the work at that time are now the generation of parents.
This work was created with the hope that we will cherish the individuality of each individual, and to nurture a spirit of acceptance and acceptance. Everyone has their own good and lovable sides–
We will deliver such a message with warm humor.
In this new animation, we will draw the world of “I wonder if it’s like this” with expressions that are friendly to today’s children while cherishing the charm of the original.

What I wanted to express with “Is there such a thing?” is the appearance of the child as it is.
All the characters that appear in this work are very free and individual.
I don’t think about whether it’s a good child or a bad boy. I generously portrayed the fact that there are children with various personalities and characteristics. It’s natural for people to have different faces, bodies, and personalities, and we wanted children to know that it’s fun because there are so many different kinds of people. I also hoped that adults would be more acknowledged in what they are. Adults tend to forget that they were once children and ask their children what they should be. I want to keep a warm look at the personality and personality of the children with a long-term perspective. “Is there such a thing?” is an affirmative story that takes care of each child. All children shine. There are no “others”. All 12 are the main characters.
