This time, the TV anime “Nezumi-kun’s Vest” produced by our company CREADOM8 will be broadcast on NHK E-TV from Saturday, April 4th!

When making the anime adaptation of the “Nezumi-kun’s Picture Book” series, which has been loved by many people for a long time, the first thing that the staff shared was to create a work that properly conveys the important elements of the original, “kindness,” “warmness,” and “margins.”
The animation is produced with full CG in order to express the delicate and simple touches of the characters, including Nezumi-kun, and to create images that can feel the touch and atmosphere of a picture book.

And in this work, all the characters are played by only two voice actors Kenjiro Tsuda and Mamiko Noto.
Please look forward to what kind of color the colorful and rich expressions unique to the two of you will bring to the story of Nezumi-kun!

It’s been 52 years since “Nezumi-kun’s Waistcoat” published in 1974.
This work, which counted the 43rd volume of “Ekaki ni Naritai Itai Itai Nezumi-kun”, which was released the other day, has finally become a TV animation!

For more than 50 years, when directing a irreplaceable work that made many children smile, the most important thing was “moving the picture book as it is” after following the story of Mr. Nakae. For that reason, I thought that the expression by 3DCG using craftsmanship was the most suitable, and that I could move Mr. Ueno’s paintings in a cute way.
Taking advantage of the color frame, which is the characteristic of this work, I think that the size of the characters in the picture book is as important as possible, and I think I was able to make the work as if I was reading while looking at the picture book.

By all means! Immerse yourself in the world of Nezumi-kun! !

I never thought I would get involved, so I was really happy when I received an offer to appear.

At first I was surprised when I heard that the two of them played all the characters, but I felt that the voice actors were very rewarding, and that the range of expression and imagination was tested.
It was a very fresh and stimulating experience to work with each character properly, and the delicate work of changing the expressions depending on voice, time, and the difference in breathing.

At first, I was worried about it, but when I actually started running, I was able to enjoy the performance by being guided by Mr. Noto’s soft and wide range of plays.

The animation will surely satisfy both those who have loved the original for a long time and those who touch it for the first time.
I think you can hear various variations of voices that can be said to be a new frontier for me. We hope that you will enjoy the world of Nezumi-kun and his friends.

I am very happy, honored and grateful.

It’s rewarding, but I felt that it was a high hurdle to work with just the two of us.

Hearing the actual cry of animals, expanding the image of the sound from the size and shape of his body… I went to the recording by trial and error while envisioning the gentle world view of the work.

There are two things that I decided from the beginning when I was talking about making an animation with Poplar.
The first is to recreate the delicate patterns of the picture book as much as possible and express it vividly.
The second is to play all the characters with just two voice actors.

I want to make it an anime work like a picture book. I want to get the atmosphere of reading aloud.
It is the starting point of reading picture books that one person plays multiple roles.
Animation like a picture book that stirs the imagination from images, voices and sounds.

This time, we were able to create the best team in making this thought.
The theme songs and the music in the play that will be announced soon are also wonderful.
Mr. Nakae and everyone from Poplar, Inc., who showed understanding of various matters in the film.
