Tokyo and Anime Tokyo Station, an anime exhibition base operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Japan Video Association As a motto, 287,732 people (as of May 10, 2026) are visiting as a facility that transmits the charm of Japanese animation to the world.

From Saturday, May 16, 2026, a special exhibition “Tsutoshi Shibayama’s Work” will be held on the first basement floor. Tsutomu Shibayama passed away on March 6th. He has worked as a director and animator for a long time, and has worked on many works such as “Doraemon”, “Chibi Maruko-chan”, and “Nintama Rantaro”. His work as a talented animator in “Manga Nihon Mukashibanashi”, NHK “Minna no Uta”, etc., and his skills as a talented animator in “Ganso Genius Bakabon” and “Gutsy Gaeru” are also impressive. Mr. Shibayama was a craftsman, an artist, and a master.
In this project, Mr. Shibayama exhibited designs, image boards, storyboards, and illustrations drawn in private, and reviewed his work and footprints during the production process of the animation. In addition, we plan to replace the contents of the exhibition during the exhibition period.
