Tokyo Station, an anime exhibition base, Japan, which is operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Japan Video Association, is a facility that conveys the charm of Japanese animation to the world with the motto of “Make Anime more interesting and Anime to the future”. Since its opening in October 2023, many people from Japan and abroad have visited the museum, and on Saturday, June 20, 2026, the number of visitors reached 300,000.

The memorable 300,000th person was a group of two customers. In commemoration of the over 300,000 people, we presented anime goods sold at the goods store on the 2nd floor. “I’m happy because I didn’t think I was the 300,000 people!” Regarding the exhibition that left an impression on me, he said, “I’ve been watching BLEACH since I was little, and today I experienced ‘Bankai’ with the digital content on the 2nd floor. It’s amazing that I can experience this for free.”

At the anime Tokyo Station, about 50,000 pieces of past valuable materials from the animation production process are preserved on the basement floor, and the production process of animation animation that precedes the digital method is exhibited while introducing the production tools and intermediate deliverables of the time. In addition, on the 2nd floor, we regularly hold special exhibitions of popular anime, and we are introducing works that are currently being broadcast and works that are popular overseas.
As a facility where travelers from all over the world can meet the masterpieces of yesteryear and the latest popular works and enjoy the charm of anime from various angles, we will continue to spread the appeal of anime and the charm of Tokyo to a wide range of anime fans both in Japan and overseas.
