Tokyo and Anime Tokyo Station, an anime exhibition base operated by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Japan Video Association We have 309,932 people (as of July 20, 2026) from home and abroad as a facility that conveys the charm of Japanese animation to the world as a motto.

From Saturday, August 8, 2026, “Takayuki Goto Exhibition – Animator 45th Anniversary-” will be held on the first basement floor. Takayuki Goto, who belongs to the animation production company Production I.G, has been involved in the production of various genres of works as an animator. Starting with COMPLEX, he has worked on many works such as “Red Light Bullet Zillion” and “Protect My Earth”.
In this project, we will look back on the 45 years of trajectory as an animator, focusing on panel exhibitions, including handwriting illustrations, raw original drawings, and general animation directors, which Mr. Goto has worked on so far.

By all means, please take this opportunity to visit this exhibition and look back on the many works that Mr. Goto has been involved in.

Animator (Anime director, character design)

Born August 7, 1960. Born in Hachimine-cho, Yamamoto-gun, Akita Prefecture (former Hachimori Town). Graduated from Akita Prefectural Noshiro Technical High School and International Animation Research Institute. One of the founding members of Production IG Co., Ltd. In 2020, he retired as a director of the company on his 60th birthday. Currently working as an advisor and creator of the company.
His representative works include “Red Light Bullet Zillion”, “Protect My Earth”, and “Ghost in the Shell S.A.C.” series.
From 2024, he will also serve as a specially appointed teacher in the field of animation major at Tokyo Zokei University.
